Sara Maria Airola is a circus artist who explores the essence of the circus without being locked into a certain way, style or equipment and bases her works on movement improvisation and physical theatre. In addition to performing, Airola runs Circus School Kuu in Kokkola in Central Ostrobothnia, Finland and operates, amongst other things, in the research and development project of the University of the Arts, as the corresponding art pedagogue of the circus.
