About Schauman Hall

Schauman Hall is a high-quality concert hall that opened in March 2013 in the heart of Campus Allegro in Jakobstad, Finland.

Architect office Roger Wingren stands for the design of the concert hall and acoustical design is done by Henrik Möller. The dimensions are 12,9m (height) by 16,2m (width) by 25,1m (depth) and the orchestra pit can accommodate around 30 musicians and the concert hall seats 361-405. Schauman Hall is directly connected to a recording studio, which creates a possibility for live recordings at high quality. The technology in the hall is state of the art and modern and both musicals and operas can be performed using the orchestra pit. Schauman Hall has variable acoustics and can be altered for rhythm music.

Campus Allegro is a center for studies with universities and schools, businesses and culture (musics, art, photography, form design, media studies). The old quarter from the 18th century includes both historical buildings and modern design, all joined under a high glass ceiling. Campus Allegro offers spaces for many kinds of events, exhibits, concerts, conferences and celebrations. Catering services, restaurant and coffee shop are available events and city dwellers alike. Tickets for the event at Campus Allegro and Schauman Hall are available on the internet, www.netticket.fi, also in English.
