Eleven years ago the opera singer and cellist Pia Karin Helsing made a life choice for which she paid a very high price. Over a night she lost her family and relative when she left Jehova’s witness. She managed through the crisis, and this performance accounts her story. Her love for music leads her through many genres such as tango, opera and jazz in timeless pieces of Piazolla, Porter and Puccini. She tells her story in Swedish, by singing and playing her cello. The performance is titled With Tiny, Tiny Steps. No intermission – Café Vivo is open from 11 am-9 pm.
